Wedding at Monte Cardon – Cabo, Mexico

Madilyn and John live in San Francisco but have spent plenty of time in Mexico throughout their relationship. When they started planning their wedding they knew they wanted to do something unique and quaint in one of their favorite Mexican towns- San José del Cabo. After touring multiple venues and feeling like they weren’t finding the right place – they stumbled across Monte Cardon in the mountains that surround Los Cabos. Monte Cardon is a beautiful, secluded venue in the wilderness. You might stumble across wild cattle and horses on the expansive dirt road that leads to Monte Cardon – like we did on their wedding day. Their venue boasts a stunning red brick altar elevated above the mountainous landscape, which provides panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness.

The venue also offers farm to table food, a beautiful outdoor reception space with string lights once the sun goes down, and a gorgeous dining space surrounded by rolling hills. If you time your wedding day right, dinner will take place just as the sun sets and you’ll get spectacular views.

This venue is heavily focused around the farm to table concept and “slow-food,” or food that is not mass produced. It’s the perfect spot for couples who consider themselves foodies and want a culinary experience at the center of their wedding celebration.

The gorgeous shared spaces and food at Monte Cardon are not the only impressive features. There are also an incredible amount of picturesque spaces to work with for wedding portraits of the Bride and Groom, completely free of distractions like telephone lines, cars, people, etc. It’s the remote wedding venue of my dreams.
